Relegation threatened Glenrothes were denied all three points
at wintry Prestonfield when Brian Carrigan headed in an injury time equaliser.
After an even first half in which Rose hit the bar and had
a goal disallowed, the visitors took the lead in 46 minutes
when Graham Mills sent Benny Andrew clear and the striker
made no mistake from 14 yards.
Glenrothes sub Ryan Ewing made a short-lived appearance,
lasting only four minutes before receiving a straight
red card for an elbow on Mike McDermott.
It was nine versus ten for the last eleven minutes when
Linlithgow’s Gregg Burnett and the visitors’ Gregg Meikle
were sent off following an off the ball tussle.
With Rose pouring forward Guppy made a great save
from Tyrell and a Herd overhead kick was cleared off the line.
Rose were not to be denied though and grabbed a
share of the points in the 92nd minute when a Herd
cross was headed home by Brian Carrigan.
