BLOOD , MUD AND GLORY
Last Saturdays win against Clydebank was very pleasing . We started the defence of our title with a hard fought one - nil win against very determined opposition.
The return of young Dario Quinn , gave us some much needed stability at the back , and although he received a bad head wound , that would not stop bleeding , it did not hinder his performance , in fact it was fitting that he he got on the end of an Adam Nelson cross to nod home the winner .
Once we had gone ahead , we never really looked like surrendering our lead , and all credit to the lads for a very professional show in closing out the game against a decent Clydebank side.
This weeks victory was no less pleasing , and a 3 - nil win against the team sharing top spot in the League with us , was fantastic . In driving rain and atrocious underfoot conditions , I thought we played some of our best football of the season so far. Everyone played their part in this win , and our work rate and commitment was excellent . Apart from a 15 minute spell at the start of the
2nd half , we dominated the game , and in the end ran out worthy winners .
Our next game is in the East of Scotland Cup , at home to Spartans , who will be given every respect , after we only managed to scrape a draw at their ground earlier in the season .
