Linlithgow Rose 4 - 0 Pumpherston
Scorers: McArthur (4 & 86); McLennan 57; King (68)
Rose ran out easy winners in the end but were made to work hard for their victory by a determined Pumpherston side.
McArthur got the home side off to the best possible start when he hooked the ball home from 8 yards after a knock down by Scott Wilson.
Linlithgow needed plenty of goals in this game to make inroads into the advantage held by Spartans but they squandered a number of chances. This left the door open for Pumpherston and they forced a couple of saves out of McPherson before the interval.
The Rose killed the game in the 57th minute when McArthur did well on the right before finding Roddy McLennan with his cross to the back post. The winger had the simplest of tasks to nod the ball home.
11 minutes later and Linlithgow were 3 ahead. This time Manson worked his way through the Pumpherston defence and his cross was met by King who lashed a volley into the roof of the net.
McArthur completed the scoring with a close range effort 4 minutes from time to set the Rose up for their deciding tie at home to Armadale.
